A regional bank with offices in many small towns opened a new private banking division. The management of this division wanted its location to be separate and apart from its commercial banks. This would allow those seeking wealth management services to visit with bank consultants without 'bumping into their neighbors'.
We designed 20,000+/- of high-end office space in a suite of a suburban mall being converted to office space. This site provided the privacy and parking required for the bank's venture, and aesthetics were provided by effective design of the space and specification of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Lighting was key to making this space--- located in the center of the mall with no access to windows --- warm, comfortable while at the same time open and airy.
We developed demolition, construction (inclusive of voice/data locations), lighting (reflected ceiling plans as well as accent lighting) and specified all materials for construction, from the flooring to the suspended ceiling. High-end finishes were used, inclusive of wallcoverings in selected areas, and strategically located artwork featured with accent lighting. Furniture was specified and bid to multiple area dealers.
With our negotiation and bid management skills, the furnishings cost came in 20% under the allocated budget.
The design and execution of this project was so successful that we were engaged to design and project manage the renovation of two commercial branches.
